Autism Awareness Care & Training

Sometimes it takes what seems to be a misfortune to show us the real blessings in our lives. Having sojourned through the phases of denial through to acceptance of a son’s autism and finally being able not only to smile at the progress he has made but be able to reach out to others; to encourage them too to be accepting and seek help; and to reach out to the society at large is the nucleus of the story of AACT and Autism in Ghana.

Training of Children with Autism

We organize training sessions for our staff, volunteers and workers about the best strategies to adopt in caring for children with autism. This has led to the adoption of an individualized education plan (IEP) for our children with autism as each child currently is given a one-on-one specialized training. The impact of the IEP on our children are that their needs have been met differently and also the gap between the previous ways of caring and newer ways of caring for our children with autism has been bridged.

Our Vision

AACT envisions a society that is more inclusive and sensitive to the needs of persons with autism

OUR MISSION

AACT is committed to supporting individuals and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder. We believe that each child can use their God-given talent to reach their maximum potential, regardless of disability. We are dedicated to fostering meaningful education and independence for each child.
